Had a close encounter with a reef shark while diving along a shelf of the Bahamas. Was swimming along a reef 40 ft down that quickly dropped 6000 feet. Swimming out over this drop into darkness felt extremely eerie, and coming back I was welcomed by a shark swimming right towards me. He passed me within an arms length, then disappeared into the deep waters.
